When you stay at 1 Appalachian Sky, you experience mountain living at its best. This beautiful log home offers amazing mountain views from the wrap around porch, expansive windows and multiple living areas. While this home offers 4 bedrooms and 4 ½ baths across 3 levels, there is easy access to the main level which includes the master suite, kitchen and main living areas. While enjoying beautiful mountain views the home is only minutes from the conveniences of Boone and is only a short drive to Valle Crucis and other High Country sites and activities.
When you enter from the brand-new gable porch entry, you walk into a large open plan living area with a two-story cathedral ceiling and wall of windows overlooking the mountains. The kitchen features granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances with a high-end gas range. The dining area has a 9-foot-long reclaimed barn wood dining table offering seating for a large gathering of 10 or more. Off the kitchen is the laundry room with full sized washer and dryer. The living room offers comfy seating with a large screen TV and a beautiful wood burning stove great for those cold fall and winter evenings.
Adjacent to the living room is a master bedroom suite with a king-sized bed featuring a custom made reclaimed barn wood headboard. The master bath has a large jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Also on the main floor is a half bath and separate small theatre room great for settling in and watching a favorite movie or for the kids to watch a show while the adults are visiting in the living area.
Upstairs are two queen bedroom suites each with their own bathrooms with walk in showers. One bedroom also includes a queen-sized futon – great for a small family to share. There is also an open loft with leather seating and an office area with high speed internet.
The lower level of the home contains a large game room with pool table and large sectional sofa and big screen TV. There is also a fourth bedroom with a queen bed and a separate bathroom with a large walk in shower.
Sit anywhere on the large wrap around porch to enjoy incredible mornings and evenings – rain or shine – and enjoy the restored, authentic totem pole in the yard. The porch has a gas grill, two picnic tables, and numerous comfortable rocking chairs to allow for those relaxing evenings with family and friends. In addition, there is a well maintained hot tub to enjoy after a long glorious day in the mountains.
There is also a two-car garage available for guests and is very convenient on those rainy or cold winter days.

Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
CHECK IN TIME IS 4PM AND CHECK OUT TIME IS BY 10AM.
Linens and towels provided
It is plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access the all properties in winter months. We are happy to help you find the home with the access you are most comfortable with, any time of year!
